An Introduction to the Summer Symposium

It’s finally time to dive into the deep end with C.S. Lewis! The introductory episode is being offered for free to all our listeners as a thank you for your support and for your grace. So, grab your copies of The Four Loves and Till We Have Faces and, perhaps, even an adult beverage. . . like a this refreshing drink that Ashley thinks should be called “Socrates by the Pool”. We are ending the registration on May 18th, snap up the opportunity to hang with us and the big deal, Lewis, this summer! Also, feel free to join our discussion group on Facebook to talk about the works with others that are reading.

Each Socrates by the Pool Summer Symposium will include six sessions. The first and last session will be free on the podcast the way you are used to hearing from us. The four core sessions, however, takes your learning experience to another level. When you register for the whole symposium, you will receive:
The video recording of each session
The audio recording of each session
A workbook for each session, packed with tips, additional resources, and an outline of the reading practices used during the course of our summer symposium.
You can gain access to all of that by registering for the Socrates by the Pool Summer Symposium here, in our shop!

  1. Is there a place where you list the books mentioned in this podcast?? I’m looking for the two about “How to read a book”. One was at Circe and the other Pudewa?? Thanks so much!!

    1. There will be a reference list in the workbook for the course. “How to Read a Book” by Mortimer Adler was mentioned and Circe’s “Guide to Reading”.

    2. Never mind… just saw there is the workbook 😉 Monday moring brain is still in use!! haha

  2. Would the lessons be recorded? I will not be available on the 25th, and I don’t want to miss the first session.
